When we met Jessica Martin-Weber, her husband Jeremy Martin-Weber and the newest addition to their family, Lucky at the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) Baby Expo in Washington, DC in March 2018, we were so impressed by all the important work this Portland-based duo is doing to empower mothers.
Whisbear’s mission is to support mothers in their parenting journeys and we always feel empowered sharing our goals and experience with enthusiastic, passionate and like-minded people. Jessica and her husband, parents to 7 girls, are wonderful advocates of natural parenting and we were truly happy to have a chance to connect.
Jessica is writer, speaker, creator of TheLeakyBoob.com, the largest online interactive breastfeeding resource, a community recommended to mothers through several major hospital networks and health agencies. Bringing together her eclectic background in the arts and supporting women in birth and sharing her journey as a mom, Jessica grew The Leaky Boob grew to be a community of mom-to-mom support for breastfeeding women and the people that support them.
We gifted Jessica Whisbear The Humming Bear and here is what she said.
“Lucky snoozes during her morning nap in a cardboard box next to our bed … The bear is something we just discovered last week at the JPMA Baby Show… It hugs securely onto bedsides, arms, or other spot and inside is a white noise/pink noise machine. She’s sleeping so much better with the pink noise blocking out the thumping of sisters this spring break.”
