We just have to have more babies – those few words that Kate Middleton said to Prince William today in Warsaw made the whole world and international press speculate about Royal Baby #3.
Not in the wildest dreams would we expect that – just over two years after we sent Whisbear to the newly-born Princess Charlotte – we will have an opportunity to meet her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, in person. After we received the invitation and message from the British Embassy in Warsaw requesting us to attend the meeting with the Royal Couple, along with 9 other innovative Polish start-ups, we knew that this will be one of the most amazing and important days in the history of Whisbear. We did not yet know how important! Upon arrival Prince William and his wife Kate were cheerful and made everyone feel really relaxed. When they approached our stand, Kate smiled and she said: Thank you for sending one of those for Charlotte. We briefly chatted about the product and the company and – while receiving personalised Whisbears for Charlotte and George – she looked at her husband and with a bright smile she joked: We just have to have more babies! And this is what made the press talk and put Whisbear and Royal Baby #3 on the first pages of Washington Post, Today Show, The Telegraph, ABC News, HELLO!, Daily Mirror, Indonesian detikHot, or Romanian AGERPRES and many, many more!
But what Kate said– was it just a little, innocent joke or was that a prediction for the future? Some suspect that the Duchess might already know something nobody else knows. Well, we just have to wait and see.
During the meeting in Warsaw, Whisbear was also awarded with a prestigious HealthTech award. The Duchess handed the award statue herself to Whisbear CEO Zuzanna Sielicka.
